3rd Annual Wassail – This Saturday!

We’d like to invite all the neighbors in Mayfair Heights to participate in our 3rd annual “Wassail”. For those of you unfamiliar with the custom, it is basically caroling but with a sort of “trick or treat” twist. We are asking for 5 houses in the neighborhood to volunteer to be a “wassail” house, meaning that they will provide a treat for our carolers, be it cider, cookies, egg nog, or hot buttered rum (light on the butter!)

Anyone who loves caroling or just wants to join in the fun is welcome to meet

at our first Wassail house, The Cooper residence at 2712 NW 45th St., at 6:30 pm on December 15th, where you will be handed music sheets for the evening.Following the kickoff at the Cooper Residence, we will visit the following homes:
  1. Garcia Residence: 2813 NW 45th
  2. Evans Residence 2812 NW 44th St.
  3. Lippoldt Residence 4604 N. Miller Ave.
  4. Cavett Residence 2708 NW 45th St.
(and possibly one other home, as yet unconfirmed)
If you aren’t able to meet us right at 6:30, feel free to catch up with us anytime throughout the evening. The weather will be brisk and wintry, so bundle up & don’t forget your gloves!
Festive holiday attire is greatly encouraged. Bring a small flashlight, candle, or glow stick to read your music by. Our wassail homes will be providing snacks & drinks throughout the evening, so eat a light dinner! We look forward to seeing everyone at this memorable annual event.
